Monday - Thursday January 2 - 5 (Various)

Monday
Today was a lazy day, the weather was milder but gloomy. I watched the Rose Bowl live from Pasadena, it was quite amazing, I knew nothing about it until today. Later, I did update the blog!

Tuesday
It was a bit windy today and remained gloomy all day, it was colder than yesterday and there was some rain later on. I usually do my washing on a Tuesday and today was no exception, lol!

Wednesday
It was cold day today and windy again! We went out to Williams County Humane Society this afternoon and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the cat areas. We were welcomed by the office cat, lol!

They only have three kittens and Jack, the tuxie, is an absolute love bug. He just jumped straight up into Lisa's arms and cuddled into her neck. There were also some beautiful older cats in the main cat room.

Oh, and yes, it was snowing but did not amount to much, lol!! We went into Bryan to Walmarts to do a bit of shopping and we went over the road to Chiefs.

I looked round for my small bag, it holds my money purse and my IPad, no bag!! I hopped out to check in the bag to see if I had left it with my shopping, no joy!!

So with sinking hearts we drove back to Walmart and went down the same row where we had parked. The cart had been removed from the place I had left it so Lisa dropped me off to go inside.

I checked at Subway first as that is where I had been waiting for Lisa, no joy. I then went on to Customer Service and both ladies were busy, the older one looked up at me, must have seen the expression on her face and said "I know what you are looking for!". Phew, relief flooded my body and the younger one brought it out, she asked me my name and then I was reunited with my bag, everything intact!

The lady who found it did not leave a name and I would love to have thanked her, I did ask the younger lady that if she saw her again would she pass on my grateful thanks!
After that escapade, we stopped at TIm Horton and I bought a coffee for myself and an Ice Cap for Lisa. Unfortunately, the coffee comes out of a machine and is not freshly made, plus it did not accept my card (I had just used it at Walmarts)!

We made our way home and had a brief rest before we were off again to pick up Shirley and head to Wausean to eat at the Upper Crust. The food was lovely but probably a bit pricey, even allowing for the fact that they pay their staff full wages so no tips!!.

Thursday
It was a beautiful sunny day early on although very cold again. Durng the morning the cloud came over and it started to snow lightly. Lisa's phone had died earlier so we had to make our way to Toledo in the early afternoon.

We found the place easily and the lady was expecting us. She spent some time verifying who Lisa was and then removed the memory card frm the phone attaching it to a piece of paper for Lisa. She spoke to the technician on duty and the other guy would be back from lunch in short time.

There was a Starbucks a block along the road so we made our way there, by this time the snow was a wee bit heavier and was leaving a nice dusting everywhere. I had my usual and Lisa had a Frappocino before heading back to the store.

I did not have to wait that long before the store rang through to tell me Lisa was on her way. She had a brand new phone, the same as the old one, which had basically cooked itself! I had noticed it was very warm at the store and so I was not surprised. We will have to spend a bit of time getting everything back on the new phone.

We headed home and Lisa said she would like to stop at her favourite Mexican Restaurant, Loma Linda, for a Margarita.

She loves the peach flavour so I tasted it and then ordered my very first Margarita, ever. I followed up with a Cranbery one and they were both very tasty. We then decided to order some tea before finally heading home!

The snow was very evident around Toledo but the further west we travelled the less there was and there was none at home, lol!!
