Friday - Sunday January 6 - 8 (Home base)

Friday
It was a cloudy, cold day again today. Another quiet day although I did change my bed and wash my sheets. Harry was home quite early as he did just had a couple of relatively short trips this week.

Saturday
It was yet another cold day again although there was a bit if sun. We had a lazy day,again, lol, before I took Lisa and Harry out for dinner at The Blue in Archbold.

We had looked at the menu on-line so Lisa and I had sorted our meals out, that proved to be a waste of time as they had run out of both the steaks and the ribs so we had to do a rethink/meals. I had the fried shrimp, they were fine, with the fried Brussel sprouts, they were yummy. Even though Archbold is a small town, I would not expect them to run out of their three main offerings on a Saturday night, most disappointing!

Towards the end of the meal, a person at the table next to the bar became very loud and even screamed at one point. This is a restaurant and, even though it is in a small country town, I felt her behaviour was a bit out of line! I wandered up to find their server as I felt something should be done, The owner came over then and the lady was asked to quieten down but was obviously the worse for wear, lol!!


On the menu they offered Irish Coffee, it was such a let down, lol, theirs came in a mug, coffee with the liqueur in it, no cream on top so I thought I would find a photo of an Irish Coffee, lol, maybe I should send it to them!! The coffee should be drunk through the cream!!

Although there were a few disappointments, it was a very pleasant evening. It is strange that I seem to attract dramas from time to time when I eat out in the US, lol!!

It was a cold, cloudy night and when we arrived home the moon was peeping through the clouds. Later, while we watched some TV, it had been and was still snowing, there was a light covering everywhere!!   

Sunday
There was a nice covering of snow every where, not enough for a snowman but enough to make it look good again, lol!! 

It was cloudy and cold, again, but I went out for a short walk in the afternoon. Lisa often calls the land around here Tundra and it sure looks desolate in he winter with the corn stalks sitting up out of the ground. It is very different from summer time, lol!!
