It was not so cold today and there were some sunny intervals, mostly later in the day. Lisa, Roger and Brady went to Defiance to get some meds and a warm jacket for Brady, lol, he is used to North Carolina temps! Harry did some snow shovelling outside and I saw the front path for the first time on this trip, lol, there is a slow thaw taking place so it will, more than likely, be a green Christmas.
When the others returned, Lisa Brady and myself headed for the Sauder Village Gift Shop. We had a good look round and
We went into the Doughbox on the way back home and Brady picked a few cookies out for himself. Brady was again into snowballing, lol! There was the most gorgeous sunset again, they really are a feature of this area.
Brady and I had a few games of UNO, it was a while before I got the cards to win a few games, lol!! Lisa went into work at 9 pm and will probably not get home until close to 8.30 am! I went to bed early but found it hard to go to sleep.
Friday
It was a cloudy day today and remained so all day, It did not rain but more thawing took place! I cooked myself bacon and eggs for breakfast today, very enjoyable!
Roger and Brady went onto Defiance to visit some other relatives and Lisa managed a few hours sleep. I found Guido on my bed nicely relaxed and took a few photos of him.
I as sitting in the lounge when Lisa called out to look out of the window, she said "Typical Redneck!", lol!! It was a four wheel bike towing a guy on a small surfboard, he nearly fell over and had to re-position himself on the snow.
I guess I should share the end to the card saga. As I had no response to the emails I sent out on Monday, on Tuesday I found the email of another person and emailed her. I had a very speedy response and she gave me a couple of options, I chose to have a new card sent to me, she said it should arrive by the end of Dec. 23! It was sent by DHL and I was also sent the tracking link.
The cards are manufactured in Melbourne (Australia) and mine was collected from the facility on Wednesday afternoon. It was dispatched from Melbourne on Thursday morning and arrived in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon, lol. It cleared customs on Thursday morning, departed for Cincinnati on Thursday evening and arrived in the early hours of Friday morning. A couple of hours later it left for Romulus in Michigan where it as picked up by the delivery courier just after midday. it arrived here at 7 pm, a much travelled MasterCard, lol. The story, however, has a twist in the tail!! When I looked at the card it is exactly the same number as the previous one with the same CRC, that is a wee bit unbelievable!! I have activated the new card and used it so it does work. Just for fun, I am going to use my old card at some point just to see what happens, lol!
