Tuesday & Wednesday December 20 & 21 Home & Defiance)

Tuesday
It was not quite so cold today although still below freezing and the wind was blowing the snow so it covered the road again. The wind chill did make it seem very cold. I had a quiet day and caught up with my blog, this did take a while as I had to upload photos to my computer

Lisa was much better today, the meds had really kicked in and a good night's sleep certainly helped as well. She had a text from her nail's person and there was a cancellation so we would be going to Defiance tomorrow instead of Thursday!

Again, there was the most glorious sunset tonight,  the house is in a perfect position to see these as the sun sets just behind the trees to the west. The sky was a gorgeous crimson colour for some time.

Wednesday
It was a cloudy day and again it was not so cold as yesterday. The wind had dropped away as well.

We set off for Defiance in the early afternoon but had quite a few chores to carry out along the way. There were wreaths to be put out at two different cemeteries, meat and other products to be purchased at Pettisville Meats, goodies to be delivered to Harry's work place as well as the trip to Defiance.

We made very good time with our missions for today and Pettisville Meats was very interesting, this surely has to be a gold mine in the country, people come from far and wide. They prepare the majority of the produce they sell and have their own smokers. In the summer they also attend various events and are very popular. The chap who I think is the owner commented that I did ot sound as if I came form Fulton County Ohio, lol!! I explained where I came from and that it was summer there!!!

We arrived in Defiance nice and early so there was time to go to Walmarts, I also had to pick up a few things, and for Lisa to go to a couple of other places. She then dropped me, as per usual, at Biggbys so I could enjoy a coffee while I waited. I also ordered a slushy for Lisa which they made once I knew she was on the way, the staff are certainly very pleasant and helpful.

We arrived home in time to prepare for the arrival of Roger, Lisa's son, and his son Brady. I had to make up the bed in the study, I had moved the clothes and other items I would need for a few days. They arrived just before 8 pm, having driven from North Carolina and it was good to see them again. A little later Harry arrived home so it was just about party time!
