Thursday & Friday July 28/29 (Home base)

My last two days of my trip were fairly quiet. On Thursday, Lisa went into Defiance for some shopping and other activities. I stayed home and did my washing and also most of my packing. I had lots of company, of course, and enjoyed my companions. It was very warm again and I am so very thankful for the air con!!!

On Friday, Harry arrived home just before 1 pm, finalised his packing  and relaxed for a while as he and Lisa were heading off to Lisa's brother to celebrate her birthday, which was today!!! So, just like last year for the wedding, I was home alone, lol, although I did have company!!! I then finalised my packing, and watched a couple of movies. We did have some thunder during the afternoon and a wee but of rain but it was nothing to write home about!!

I made sure my blog was up-to-date although I will get plenty of time at the hotel at the airport tomorrow. I leave Bryan at 7.05 am, Val's husband is going to take me through, so I will be up at 5.30 am, even before the sun!!!!! I am due to arrive in Chicago at 9.45 am so, even allowing for lateness, I have so much time to catch the train out to the airport.

My long trip home really begins on Sunday when I fly to San Francisco, then on to Auckland and finally to Napier, I arrive home about 10 am on Tuesday (my time) which is 6 pm (ET) on Monday. So back to being ahead of all my US friends, for a short time anyway, LOL!!

My thanks once more to Lisa and Harry for putting me up and putting up with me!! I so appreciate their hospitality and value their friendship! Adieu until December!
