Monday April 25 (Okemos)

Today is Anzac Day, this is the anniversary of the battle for Gallipoli in World War I in which thousands of Australian and New Zealand lives were lost senselessly. Of course, April 25 was yesterday back home but I can still honour the memory!

I went on a wee jaunt this morning, walking to the nearest bus stop and catching the CATA bus down to the Panera shop about two miles away. A really pleasant driver gave me an emergency ticket, if I returned within two hours I did not have to pay again! I wandered round the area and then partook of a coffee.

I walked up to a bus stop and waited for the bus to take me back to where I started. I did not have to wait very long and again the driver was very pleasant. I walked back home, passing some lovely homes and many trees sporting some spring growth and/or pretty blossom. Many trees are still bare, however, obviously still recovering from winter.

We sat and watched a film, Fluffy spent a lot of time with me today, much more than on past visits, she is such a beautiful cat.

It was a warm afternoon and thunderstorms were forecast but nothing eventuated. I wrote my blog and headed to bed fairly early again.
