Sunday April 24 (Frankenmuth)

Hooray, I managed eight and a half hours solid sleep last night!! After a quiet morning we headed to Frankenmuth a German town in central Michigan.

It is only about an hour and a half drive to the north east from Okemos. The day started sunny but still with a coolness in the air, as we drove north it became more cloudy.

Our destination was Bronner's Winter Wonderland and what a place it is. There are all sorts of Christmas figures outside the store and even many on the roof.

It is a vast building containing all the Christmas trappings and gifts you could imagine and more. There is even an area where gifts can be personalised for free.

We spent some time wandering round, there is so much to look at, even then we did not visit all the sections.

They even had two boards containing a $1 note or equivalent from every currency in the world!

I purchased some gifts, but had to be very careful about the size of them, as well as how fragile they were, as I have to travel on from here.

We then left Bronner's and headed to Zehnders Restaurant for an early dinner. We decided to choose the buffet and it had a good variety of foods, the chicken, shrimp and roast beef were rather tasty. I also enjoyed some Cherry Cobbler for dessert.

When we left it was raining quite heavily and I slept some of the way home, very unusual for me in a car, lol!!
