Saturday March 18 (Perth)

Thunderstorms were forecast and there was some rumbling during the morning but nothing more than that! I washed the sheets off my bed this morning and after lunch we went out for a drive.  We went through Kings Park which was partially closed due to a concert later on. We then travelled through the northern suburbs and followed the coast. There are some gorgeous sandy beaches along this coast and the water was very calm. We ended up at City Beach as Margaret wanted to see a new restaurant/cafe that had opened recently, however the place was closed due to a wedding function!

So, we wandered over the place that' has been there for a while to have a coffee. As we looked to the north west, over the sea, we could see some very black cloud building up. As we drank our coffee the cloud drew nearer but by passed us, thank goodness. We did hear a couple of rumbles of thunder but nothing more than that. As we were leaving the cloud was moving across Perth and away from us. On the way back home we passed quite a bit of surface water, evidence that some places had had a downpour.

After dinner, Margaret and I went to the local cinema to see "London has Fallen", we both thoroughly enjoyed it although I did notice it had some poor reviews. Back home and it was time to catch up on the blog, lol!! And so to bed!
