Tuesday February 24 & Wednesday February 25

This  morning I packed them up into their carriers and headed for the SPCA. I was serenaded all the way and I think all of them joined in at some point even Chrissy, lol!

The process consisted of a check and then having collars put on before they are put into the Kitten Room, or the Adult Cat room in Chrissy's case. It was sad to say farewell but I can and will visit them.

On Thursday, I have to take Cindy-Lou in for her next vaccination so will be able to catch up then. I will probably take Ivy for the ride but she will not be vaccinated until next week as she is to be spayed on Friday.

I came home to find Ivy and Cindy-Lou looking a bit confused about things, they had both obviously been to sleep. I let them out for a run while I did litter boxes, food and water.

It is much easier to open the door to the room now with only two occupants and Cindy-Lou is not one for trying to get out.

Later I went back to weight them and let them out again. This time they were quite energetic and there were lots of gallops up and down the passageway.

Cindy-Lou is the quiet one of the group and would often hang back but she seemed a lot more involved today, possibly as there are only the two of them. They appeared to have a good time with Ivy making one really good tackle of Cindy-Lou!

I went in a couple of times during the evening and they look a bit lost, it is very quiet and I am sure they are missing their siblings. They are both sleeping on the desk at the back of the room, very unusual.

Well, we have reached the magic number, or at least Ivy has weighing in at just over one kilogram. This is good news and she will obviously be fine for her bid day on Friday.

Tuesday's weights compared to arrival weight: Ivy (1010 +800), Cindy-Lou (1310, +1040)

A very quiet day for the kittens. I went in at one point and they were both on the other side of the boards, lol. I let them have a few hours with the door to the passageway open. They certainly like the extra freedom.

Cindy-Lou is such an interesting kitten. She gives the impression of being quite shy and the second level of the tree is her safety net.

She loves being stroked and has a very loud purr, often turning it on when she is just lying down somewhere.

She needs someone who will give her time and space to build up her confidence, then she will make a wonderful friend.

Shower time was a hoot as I had not put them away and I wondered how they would handle the noise. Cindy-Lou was not entirely sure but did not run away, Ivy just sat on the bath mat and cried at me!

She has such a great personality and will make a wonderful companion. If I did keep one it would definitely be her. I do hope she gets a loving home.

Wednesday's weights compared to arrival weight: Ivy (1030 +820), Cindy-Lou (1340, +1070)
