Jan's Musings: Sunday February 22 & Monday February 23

Not long now until I take Chrissy and three of them to the SPCA. I want to enjoy the time I have left with them so I let them have some time running up and down the passageway this morning.

They really seemed to enjoy it and most were running up and down like lunatics.

They also enjoyed exploring the hallway as I had the front door open, it has a security screen door on it so they can look out safely.

When I put them back in their area, three of them were jumping up on to the "door" to their area so I had to hastily fix some cardboard on the top so they would stay inside! They are full of beans and will enjoy being in a larger room at the SPCA.

Chrissy is being very good and is quite relaxed in the room on her own. She loves having her head and neck scratched.

I did not weigh them today and will do so tomorrow, the final time for three of them!

Last day today for them all together and it is hitting me hard, I did not think I would feel this sad! I let them out into the passageway for the whole afternoon and into the early evening and spent a long time with them.

They went mad again, galloping up and down the passageway, in and out of their room and also, in and out of the bathroom. They tackled each other, jumped over each and stalked each other.

I had the yellow dangly toy out and they enjoyed that, Naza showed his true athleticism and he is definitely a high jumper!

They all took some time to look out of the front door screen again and seemed interested in what was on the other side.

While I was sitting with them, I suddenly heard some hissing! I had let Sylvie out for a wee while, she is the one who does not go over the fence, lol!

Unusually,she decided to come round to the front door and Ivy's shackles rose! Ivy actually won the round as Sylvie turned and went away while Ivy stood at the door with her fur up for quite a while!

I weighed them all today for the last time and Naza is the heavy weight by quite a way!! Ivy, bless her heart, is almost at 1 kg, just 440 gms lighter than Naza, lol!
