Friday February 20 & Saturday February 21

I went in today and again it was a rush for the door, Ivy keeps getting out but is easy to catch. Thank goodness I always close the doors to the front of the house so there is no way Seb and Sylvie can interact with them.

I went in a bit later to clean litter boxes, refresh water etc and spend some time with them. They were high on something and ran round like wild animals, plus the growling and hissing has not really settled so it was like being at the Zoo!!

The play is getting very serious and aggressive so I hope all settles soon. The boys are not too bad, they just play hard, but the girls are certainly still very unsettled, growling and moaning at everyone. Ivy is still hissing and lashing out at the others and even me!

I weighed them all today although it was a challenge as they were all very squirmy! Magda is the one who has really dropped in weight and she looks very skinny.

Friday's weights compared to arrival weight: Magda (1040, +795), Naza (1380, +1120, Ivy (940 +730), Frosty (1150, +885), Cindy-Lou (1245, +975)

Well, things have almost returned to normal today, Saturday, thank goodness. The only growling is when one of them is playing with a purple mouse, lol!

Ivy still escapes out of the door when I open it and this morning the boys joined her.

I decided to leave the door open while I cleaned the litter boxes and refreshed their food and water.

They were so funny charging up and down the passageway like wild animals with Ivy leading the way. I had closed the doors to the rooms so there was no chance of a kitten hiding under my bed!

They had about 15 minutes of freedom and when I put them back into their room they looked as if they might sleep for a while.

When I went back later to spend time with them they were much calmer and we had a great session.

All of them came up to me individually and I was able to stroke them so they relaxed and purred for me.

Cindy-Lou is still a wee bit shy, she has gone back a wee bit since her surgery so I might keep her with Ivy so I can work with her a bit longer. I took my IPad in and Magda is interested in anything that moves, not just the Fishing game.

They were so much easier to weigh today and two of them even weighed themselves! Magda has got her weight back and Ivy continues to work her way to the magic weight!

Saturday's weights compared to arrival weight: Magda (1145, +900), Naza (1380, +1120, Ivy (945 +735), Frosty (1190, +925), Cindy-Lou (1250, +980)
