Last night I tried out some new litter, I have some clumping litter that I will not use for mine, so I put some in the large litter box. Well, Magda thought it was a new toy and proceeded to play in it for quite a while.
This morning it was apparent that they all like to use it so it will get used up after all. I seem to have blocked their passage to the rear of the room, at least for the moment!
They did escape out of the "door" once but they are easy to put back in. There was quite a bit of fighting going on this morning and the kittens were in high spirits, zooming everywhere!
By the time I went in later this afternoon for some time with them, they were in recovery mode. Three of them were sleeping on the top of the tree and it was a bit squashed!
Magda started on the tree sleeping on top of Ivy who was partly on top of Cindy-Lou. Then Magda took off and she was replaced by Naza. I had to wake some of them up to weigh them and eventually they went back to sleep afterwards.
Naza did his usual fall asleep near my feet and Cindy-Lou did her usual claiming of one foot and then started to fall asleep with crossed front paws!
Ivy was so relaxed on the tree and finally she was joined by Naza.
Chrissy again enjoyed some alone time on the desk! As I left, it was very quiet again.
Friday's weights compared to arrival weight: Magda (970, +725), Naza (1095, +835), Ivy (780, +570), Frosty (1030, +765), Cindy-Lou (1005, +735)
I had to go onto the room again last night and return them to their area, they really are escape artists!!
Every time I went into the room today, all or some of them were sleeping. Eventually, I went in to tidy up, weigh them and spend time with them and I had to wake some of them.
After the weigh ins they were not very lively so I used the remaining arm off the tree and got some cute photos of them playing with it. It is a bit tricky holding the toy and taking the photos, lol!!
The photos of Magda and Cindy-Lou are really sweet, they look so lovely together.
A couple of them continue to think of the large litter box with the clumping litter is a toy boax for them to play in. Once I had cleaned and topped up the litter Magda and Frosty both ad some play time!!
Poor Ivy was trying to sleep on the top of the tree and was getting very squashed!
On one of my later, brief, visits to check on them I caught Magda and Cindy-Lou sitting on the towels by the window and they were looking very intently out of the window.
Apparently they saw their first bird and Magda was very interested.
They are continuing to put the weight on and Magda is not far away, poor Ivy has still quite a way to go.
I rang the SPCA today and then the vet and Chrissy plus the four are booked on on Wednesday February 18. I need to find out what happens after that. I will really miss these guys, I have become very attached but that is the life of a foster!!
Saturday's weights compared to arrival weight: Magda (990, +745), Naza (1110, +850), Ivy (790, +580), Frosty (1040, +775), Cindy-Lou (1040, +770)
