I had a busy day outside, managed to deadhead the roses and then trimmed half the second olive tree. that is all I could get in the bin and it also involved using the saw on four branches, lol!!
I popped in during the afternoon and they were asleep most of the time, when I went in for my session with them, they were still rather sleepy. This made it easy to pick them up and weigh them.
On one pop-in visit, four of them were sleeping/resting on the desk with Chrissy, it made a lovely photo op!
They are certainly more relaxed when I pick them up and they all seem to enjoy being brushed. Most don't mind tummy tickles and I have started holding them like babies on their backs. They are not so sure about the latter but I combine it with tummy tickles so I am sure they will get better.
Some of them played while I was in there but they were not at 100% thank goodness, there were also some sleepers and it is almost as if they were taking it in turns, lol!
They love to go over and under my legs so I need to keep at least one knee bent! The strap on my camera is also a great attraction.
When I left them, they were relatively calm and I expect they would get some sleep. I always pop in again a couple of times before I got to bed.
Finally, Ivy has topped 800 grams, but still will be at least a couple of weeks before she will make the weight for spaying. I have to check with the SPCA this week as to the arrangements once Chrissy and the other four are spayed/neutered. I would like to keep at least one kitten as company for Ivy.
Sunday's weights compared to arrival weight: Magda (985, +740), Naza (1125, +865), Ivy (805 +595), Frosty (1045, +780), Cindy-Lou (1075, +805)
Today was house work day and this included the kitten area. I moved all of them into the bathroom with their bed, food, water and some toys.
It took a while as I vacuumed then washed the tarp with water with disinfectant in it and then rinsed it with plain water.
They were fine in the bathroom and when everything was dry I moved Chrissy back to have some time alone but she did not want it, lol!! So I moved them all back into their area and the kittens were soon everywhere sniffing!!
After I had finished the house work I went back to check on them and they were all asleep and seemed to sleep all afternoon. I went in quite late for my usual visit and to weight them, they were just waking up but did not seem super active today.
I grabbed the yellow toy and they became more active with that. Naza is an absolute nut jumping all over to try and catch it, does not mind where he lands, lol!
After a round of playing with the toy they started to quieten down so I decided to leave them to sleep. I have to be so careful getting up and always count heads to make sure I am not going to stand on one of them!
Magda has finally made the kilogram, yay! only Naza put weight on today, but weight only fluctuates by small amounts so all is good!
Monday's weights compared to arrival weight: Magda (1000, +755), Naza (1140, +880, Ivy (805 +595), Frosty (1040, +775), Cindy-Lou (1070, +800)
