Sunday October 20 & Monday October 21 (Hampton Court & Surbiton)

Sunday
It was another lovely day, a cool start but wrmed up nicely. Eliza went to play hockey but I had a lazy start to the day. Eliza had a good day, she put in a good assist for a goal and scored one herself! I updated some of my blog in the norning.

Rocky decided the cars were a good place to relax this morning, lol!

After lunch, we headed back to Bushy Park where we were going to park.and then walked across to Hampton Court.

The lovely weather meant there were lots of people out enjoying the October sunshine.

We walked through Hampton Court and the gardens were a treat, with many of the roses and other flowers still blooming. There were even lots of buds on many of the roses.

The river looked glorious and there was a lot of activity on and along it. We walked along the tow path for quite a way passing a lovely pub on the other side of the river, The Albany, and it was very well frequented today!

As we walked back, we saw two shire horses pulling a carriage full of people along. They were behind a wall but we still managed a good look at them.

We then walked back to Bushy Park where I bought ice creams from a van and we sat on a bench in the sun to enjoy them.

It was fun watching people enjoying themselves in different ways, especially a mum playing tag with her young daughters.

As we walked back to the car we saw two stags not too far from each other and some people far too close. There were warning signs about this as this is mating season and the stags can get viscious.

The stag at the rear did get up and wallk towards the other stag but fortunately nothing eventuated, if it had the two people with the young child would have been very uncomfortable.

As we left the park, we drove passed a stag grazing happily on the side of the road.

Billy had hockey training at 5.30 pm and Nigel was in charge of cooking tea, Roast Beef, Roast Potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding and Vegetables. It was very tasty and enjoyable, it is a while since I had Yorkshire Pudding!

Then it was time for a shower and relaxation time before bed.

Monday

it was another cool but gorgeous morning as I waved farewell to Eliza and Wendy from Luke's bedroom window. They were meeting a friend of Eliza's at Chessington.

It was then time to do my dirty washing, again! I wish they made clothes from self cleaning material, lol! I put the small items through the tumble dryer but the rest went outside on the airer and it was almost dry by the time the sun disappeared. Rocky slep on Wendy and Nigel's bed until just before we went out, he came down, went outside and came over to me while I checked my washing, I think he has accepted me, lol!

After lunch, Luke and Billy walked me to Surbiton, just over a mile and a half, to try and buty some calendars. I did manage to get find some in the Post office near the station, they were fairly expensive so I bought four. I bought a coffee and we waited for the next bus which we caught and stopped not far from home.

I then finished updating my blog, phew!
