Wednesday October 25 (Toronto)

I had a lazy start to the day but it was not without its excitement!

I thought I was safe and sound, lol, today I was not so sure. I had just toasted a bagel for breakfast, not burnt lol, and an alarm went off. There were no instructions about the alarms in the apartment so I stayed put. 

A voice came over an intercom, no instructions about that either but think it was one way. Something about a fire engine on its way, then later another message but could not pick it up, she spoke so quickly. After that there was another one but again I could not hear it nor could I work out if I could reply to the voice. A very strange box on the wall and I did not want to touch it, never know what might have happened, lol. I just ate my breakfast and nothing happened, lol, the adventures continue!!


There was quite a bit of cloud around but also some sun and it was not raining! I went out later on and walked about a two miles in a block from the apartment down to the lake passing by the Blue Jays stadium on the way. 

I carried on to the lake then past some of the attractions on my way back to my apartment via a large market where I bought some water. It was coolish but not too bad with the breeze coming off the lake. 

I sat and watched one plane land and another take off from Billy Bishop City Airport. The lake was quite choppy but most activities are shut down for the winter.

A young adult seagull came along, stopped and stared at me for some time. It chirped at me obviously wanting some food, I did not have any, lol!

I walked almost under the CNN tower, I have been up there before so was not interested in a second visit. Ripley's Aquarium of Canada was the next attraction. 

There were quite a few tour buses around so the season is not quite over. There were some interesting garden sculptures along the way, with a failed selfie, lol! 

As I walked back up the road towards my apartment, I went under the railway and there is some fabulous art work on the walls. A group of people are responsible! By the market were some sculptures of baby elephants!

I returned to my apartment for a break before headng out to get a coffee at Starbucks. Then it was time to do some ironing, pack again, have a shower and relax. I updated the blog and then boiled some eggs for tea and for sandwiches to take on the train tomorrow.
