Tuesday October 24 (Last day in Kitty Heaven & on to Toronto)

Today was my last day in Kitty Heaven. It has been a fantastic stay, Jenny and Brent have looked after me so very well, Brent is a great chef! 

The kitties have been awesome and I have loved every one of them. It is only Joey and Winklin that I had not met previously at FFRC so it was lovely to see how the other six have grown up.

The weather has turned somewhat, much cooler, windy and cloudy. I cannot complain as I have had a great run.

I had a lazy start, stripped the bed and started my packing. It was mostly done with just my laptop and some clothes to go in, the latter have been washed. 


I managed to update my blog from yesterday and made a start on today’s. We had to leave just after 5.30 pm so I would make my train, althugh when I checked it was running 40 minutes late, lol!

I took a few last minute kitty photos and then it was time to leave, I felt very sad as i have thoroughly enjoyed my visit and feel as if I have been treated like a queen!

We arrived at Grimsby about 6.20 pm after a lovely country drive. The cloud formations were very interesting and we could see pathes of showers as well as a very bright sun peeping through the clouds. I knew Jenny and Brent had their dinner plans for jenny's birthday so it was time to say farewell, very sadly and they wer eon their way. I had to wait about half an hour for the train so it caught up a lot of time. It was not very busy so I was able to have a seat to myself.

We arrived in Toronto a wee bit late but not too bad. Union Station is in a state of semi-chaos as they are about eight years into a ten year project to upgrade the station. The outside has been finished and now the inside is underway!

I caught a taxi to my apartment and signed in. Security was fairly tight and there are people who live here all the time. I saw a few dogs, lol, but no cats! I was booked in for two nights and went out to explore. I found a Starbucks just two minutes walk away from the apartment building, lol!

Words cannot express how much I enjoyed and appreciated my stay with Jenny and Brent. They looked after me so well, Brent is a great cook, plus my birthday outing and dinner were amazing. It is a birthday I will never forget. Of course, I also loved spending time with their wonderful kitties and was so sad to leave them all.Thank you from the bottom of my heart Jenny and Brent!

Footnote - stayed with two friends, both husbands enjoy cooking and do it well!!
