Sunday October 22 (Dunnville)

It took me a while to get to sleep last night, I had an email from home and Seb is back at the Vet Hospital. I am waiting for them to contact me so I can get more details about his condition.

While I am worriedd about him there is nothing I can do from this far away. I hope that whatever it is is treatable and, as long as he is not in pain, hopefully I will get to see hime again!

It is an absolutely fabulous day here today, more like summer, and everything looks so pretty. after breakfast we went out for a walk round the garden and surrounds.

The house itself is large and the grounds are spacious, the cat enclosure is only a relatively small area.

We took Winklin with us but three of the others were very enviously looking out of the screen door. When we returned, one had left but Snappy had joined the other two!

There are some small outbuildings on the property, as well as a bridge that goes over the middle of the pond. The trees are beginning to show different coluors and Brent showed me a Chinese lantern in all stages of growth, it is very pretty.

At the entrance to the propery there is a stone wall and a wagon just outside, Jenny put Winklin on the side but he hopped in to it. I was lucky enough to catch the moment when he popped his head up!

Back inside and just im time to see Snappy and Haylow loving on each oother! I also took some photos of the lovely house.

The cats really do have a wonderful life here, they want for nothing. I took photos of the kitchen, with Brent preparing lunch, the lounges up and down, the dining room. the cat's play room, the bedroom I am in as well as another guest room.

Lunch was something else, Beef Au Jus, one of my favourite dishes and it was very, very good. Brent prepares everything from scracth hmself, even down to the galic butter that was spread on the toast!!! I have been well and truly spoiled this trip!

After lunch, I played with Januka with the bird toy, she is slowly getting used to me. She has quite the leap but I could not take a photo and hold the toy, lol!

Then it was time to work on the blog, I uploaded photos into the text for yesterday and then worked on today's. I do not want to leave this as we have a big day out tomorrow and that will need to be worked on on Tuesday, but I also have to pack then as I leave this wonderful place on Tuesday afternoon!

Many of the cats were sleeping and it is alway quiet aorund here. I took a photo of sweet Haylow, she looks as if she is smiing all the time!

Later on Januka went for a walk round on her leash and I went along with them. When she got back she was very keen to get insdie the enclosure, just as some were eager to get out, lol!

Sarge was the lucky one who had his leash put on and went for a walk. He did pretty well afer a few rolls at the start, a couple of times he shot ahead with Jenny hanging on for dear life, lol!

Brent brought some Chinese lanterns inside and made a lovely display with some Cat Tails.

I checked my emails and there was one from the Vet. It sounds as if his kidneys are not doing well and they are trying him out with different wet foods to see if they are better for him.

They think he can go home in a few days so I have emailed Grant to let him know and not to feed him any of the wet food I bought before I came away! Seb does enjoy the Gastro dry food and I have that at home. So here's hoping!!

Brent picked some apples and took them across the bridge for the deer, he has a deer camera and has set that up in case they do come!

There is a second blog for Sunday with photos of Joey in the hammock and Januka showing off her jumping skills!
