Friday October 20 (Dunnville)

I slept like a log and had a lazy start to the day. It was another lovely day so the cats were outside and I took some photos.

Later, Brent took me to the doctor's walk in clinic as I was short of one of my meds. This was about 30 minutes away in Welland, ON. It was a lovely drive along mainly country roads and we passed quite a few modern windmills on farms.

I was signed on to the practice and then had to wait a while to see the doctor. He gave me a script and then I went to the drug store almost next door.

The meds were not that expensive thank goodness. On the way back we stopped at a Tim Hortons for you know what!!

When we arrived back home, most of the cats were enjoying the lovely weather, they can come and go through the screened back door and that is good as they have a choice. I took many photos and had lots of interactions.

Januka is still very shy although I did get photo of her in the tunnel and playing with the catnip which grows beside the steps, there is a second crop of catnip due to the mild weather!

Spruce can also be a wee bit skittish but enjoys a fuss on his terms, Montana is Mr Cool, very friendly and takes a lovely photo. Haylow is a sweet girl and is often on her own while Snappy is everbody's friend, a real love bug and has fit right in.

Sarge is Mr Big and has a very sweet, gentle nature. Joey is such a sweet boy with a serious face, he really trucks along very well. Then there is Winklin, what a character, he is the talker of the tribe and is beginning to settle down.

While I was working on my blog, Brent was cooking tea and it was deliciously fabulous, prime rib roast (from his friend the butcher) with plenty of garlic on, french fries, garlic bread and gravy made from the juice of the roast. Oh my, talk about being spoiled!

After tea I did some more blog work and then it was out to watch the meteor shower. We discovered that Oriion was still on the horizon here so nothing would be visible until the wee hours! I napped a bit and went out about 1.30 am. I put a sweat shirt on and it was not too cold.

I could see Orion to my right over the tall trees and was watching that area for some time. I began to think there was nothing to be seen when I happened to look at another aea of the sky, below and to the left of Orion and I saw a bright streak of light, yay! I waited a while but there wer eno more so I went in to go back to bed. Haylow decided she wanted some loving so that delayed me for a while, lol!
