Wednesday July 12 & Thursday July 14 (Port Orchard)
Wednesday
It was another lovely day today, warm with the sun shining out of a clear blue sky.

Today was washing day, and I washed most of my clothes, lol! I sat outside and enjoyed some sunshine for a while in the afternoon. The ironing will have to wait until tomorrow as we were going out to tea and I had to shower.
We went to the Airport Diner at Bremerton National Airport, it is a very popular spot and we
found this out when we walked in, it was crowded. We managed to obtain a window table so we could watch the planes come and go.

There is a very good menu and I found it difficult to choose between three items, I eventually chose the Prime Rib Dip. It was delicious with plenty of rib slices on a french bun which was cut in two good size pieces. The Jus was very tasty and I love dunking the roll into it!
We watched two planes continually taking off and landing, also a helicopter circling, so they may all have been training. We then saw people climb into two of the planes that had been parked outside the window, the engines were started and we watched them taxi and then take off. They had just dropped in for dinner, lol! There is a neat children's playground outside it was only opened recently.
After a lovely evening it was time to head home, we saw Mount Rainier in the rays from the setting sun but it was also very hazy!
Thursday
I spent most of the day today updating my blog for Seattle (Monday) and the eagles (Tuesday). It took a long time to sort through the photos especially those of the eagles.

After tea we went out for a walk along the Port Orchard Boardwalk Trail starting from the Marina. Gracie came with us and it was her first walk in public. Serenity does not like the car so missed out!!
Gracie was very well behaved, taking in all the new sights while meeting lots of people and even a couple of dogs.
We took her down to the beach and she was a bit unsure but the water splashed her foot and it did not scare her or concern her. It was a very good beginning! She was very relaxed in the car and on the way home just lay down beside me for much of the journey home.
