Thursday & Friday July 6 & 7 (Port Orchard)

Thursday
Oh my, this weather is just gorgeous, lovely blue skies and warm.

We took Serenity and Gracie for a walk this morning. There is a "No Exit" road at the top and opposite our drive so we went along there. There are a number of new houses being built on one acre sections. It was pleasant and, as this was Gracie's first walk, she did very well. The vet had only just given permission for her to be taken out!

Several cars and a UPS truck passed us and they slowed down for us. However, a local propane tanker made a huge amount of noise and did not slow down even though I waved at him to do so. I am afraid he received a rude gesture from me, lol!!
When we returned, I spent time outside, some in the sun and then the rest on the swing in the shade. It is so easy to fall asleep on the swing and it has been good to chill out reading and trying to puzzle out some Sudoku High Fives, lol!

I do have to keep an eye on Gracie, lol, today she stole one of my slippers from the swing while I was on it! She is such a hard case and still only a youngster so hopefully she will grow out of these ways!

We went out to the local Family Pancake and Dinner House fir tea and it has quite a good menu. Cheryl and I spent some time planning our trip to Oregon next weekend. We knew which places we were going to but finding motels/hotels was a challenge this late and at this time of the year. However, we did manage to find two for the two nights we need them!

Just before going to bed, I found an email from my Air NZ contact with the tracking information for my card. It left Melbourne on Wednesday and is already out of LA on its way to Seattle. Delivery is due by the end of the day on Monday, nice one!

Friday
The breeze was back today but it was still very pleasant outside with plenty of sunshine. Today, Gracie ran off with the Sudoku High Five piece of newspaper, she thinks it is a great game! Give me a cat any day, lol! (I do love Gracie though!)

I looked at the DHL tracking site this morning and discovered my package was due today, yay!! It arrived about 1 pm and that must be some sort of record! I only lost the card Thursday afternoon last week and did not communicate with the best people until Saturday. I really do have to give big kudos to the Air NZ folk who manage their FB page and the contact I have via email.

I activated my card immediately and it is tucked away safely in my wallet, long may it stay there, lol!

I went to bed relatively early as we are going to a Kite Festival tomorrow!
