Saturday May 6 (part 2 - Intercoastal drive and Boynton Beach)

On leaving the Safari, we drove up to West Palm Beach on I95, passing Bethesda Presbyterian Church as well as a wedding at another church and ended up at Breakers Luxury Resort.

We stopped along beside the beach and there were quite a few people out on jet skis.

We drove back down the road that runs between the sea and the intercoastal waterway. Of course, we also stopped at the Worth Avenue Starbucks!!
We did pass a very unusual site in this Spanish dominated house design area, a shop that was designed in the English Tudor style!!
All the way along the drive we saw so many very expensive houses and condos, this included one particular mansion, lol.

Many of the houses along the ocean front on the side of the road away from the sea have bath houses opposite and tunnels connecting them to the houses. so people can go directly to the beach, lol!

This beautiful drive took us all the way back to Boynton Beach and along the way we also drove down a lovely avenue of overhanging trees, it reminded me that we have so many of these in England!

We had time to relax and shower before heading off to the Prime Catch, another restaurant on the water. Again it was only about a ten minute drive from where Jackie lives.

For dinner, I had French Onion Soup, then an appetizer - Lobster Hot Pot. lobster, shrimp and crab cake served piping hot as a puree with toasted bits of sour dough bread. I could see it still bubbling when it arrived, absolutely delicious!
Of course, some people use their boats to go out to dinner, lol!!
On a previous day, we had to wait to cross the bridge that can be seen from the condo, the reason was that it had been lowered to let some tall water traffic through.

This evening, for the first time, I was able to photograph this as a catamaran with a tall mast wanted to go underneath!! On the way home saw the most beautiful sunset as well as one of the neighbour's cats!

By the by, I am finding a growing number of mosquito bites on me, grrrrr!!
