Two
things dominated today's proceedings, waiting for shuttles and cleaning up my
gear after it was urinated on, lol!! I just cannot seem to escape from some sort of adventure!!
The day began with a half hour wait for the shuttle to return to my hotel and in the end it was the one from Best Western that took me back.
At least there was some good news, the power was back on! after leaving my overnight bag in my room I waited a further twenty minutes for the shuttle to take me to the Peggy Adams Rescue League! The driver was actually engaged in some other tasks!!

I spent about an hour and a half at the cattery but any kittens are either being fostered or over in the other facility called the Dome.

When I walked in, some cats were free roaming but many others were in small rooms in groups of 2, 3 or 4.
These rooms each contained a chair, a couple of raised cat beds as well as litter, food and water.

I saw some lovely cats but I do wonder how much socialisation they get. There re some very shy cats and in each room there seemed to be a bit of friction between the cats.

As well as the rooms there were also some cages on wheels, some containing cats.

I spent a bit of time in some of the rooms, in particular a young black cat called Richie purred his head off and was constantly round my legs, one of his roomies was a lovely, friendly tortie called Betty.

A shy grey cat called Destiny really took my eye, she sat in the litter box and was somewhat scared of her roomies but loved being petted.

There was a gorgeous grey and white cat called Gracie, the long haired ginger cat is called Charlie. A couple of the tuxies were very striking with beautiful markings, they are certainly photogenic!

There was one very chatty cat running round, he has been adopted and is just waiting to have his annual shots before going home. There were quite a few with an ear clipped, they call them Community cats!

There were some cats in another space in large cages. One of these was Sheeba, a lovely grey cat who had had mange poor girl. Another was Mia who is a high energy cat and can only be cuddled on her terms!

I collected my bag which I had left on chair and went out of the cattery into the waiting area. I went to get my IPad to contact the hotel and discovered it was wet. I thought my drink bottle had leaked but then I smelt it, lol, a cat had urinated on the bag!

I think I know which one it might have been, a white and black cat called Alfie (the cat in the box)!!! I spent some time in the restroom using their soap to clean the smell out as much as possible. I used a large number of their paper towels to dry things out, lol!

I went outside and put my things in the sun to dry while I waited for the shuttle, that was another half hour but at least my bag dried off!! While I was waiting, a young lizard popped out, lol!

Back at the hotel I put my money purse and IPad cover into the sink with plenty of Palmolive washing up liquid. I left them to soak while I packed most of my possessions on my luggage, just leaving out things I need for tomorrow.

I then rinsed the purse and IPad cover and my purse was fine, I dried it on the stove top, lol!! I had been worried about my paper money but that was not affected, phew!

The IPad cover still had a slight smell but some of my perfume took care of that, lol!! I cooked an omelet for tea, very enjoyable, and then set about updating the blog!
