It rained on and off today and there was low cloud covering the hills! This meant it was a quiet day, reading and games on my IPad. We did go out to food Lion to get some supplies in but that was as far as we ventured.
As it was a cool day today we had soup and fried cheese sandwiched for tea, delicious, and mine has some green onion in as well!!! We had some ice cream for dessert, I had vanilla with some of my Mountain Java Moonshine over it, yummy!!
Sunday
the day started off cloudy but in the afternoon it did clear somewhat and we same some blue sky and the sun, yay!! I caught up on my washing so will not have too much that is dirty when I reach home. Once dry, it was folded and went straight into my case.
We went out for a late lunch/early tea at the Red Lobster in Winchester. the food there never disappoints and, of course, there is always the biscuits, lol!!! I had more than enough and bought a small box home for lunch tomorrow!
We called in at Walmarts and I managed to find some calendars to take back to New Zealand, they were on a special price too, yay!! I looked for some KT tape but they did not stock it!
Back to base and a quiet evening with more reading!
Monday
It was a gorgeous day today, warm with lots of sun and blue skies. We went out to the CVS in Inwood and I managed to find some KT tape. My packing is just about complete, just the final bits and pieces to go in tomorrow.
Cheryl went over to collect the cats and hey would be staying with us for the afternoon, nice! I enjoyed my leftovers from yesterday for lunch and then went and sat out on the deck. The sun was very warm and I had to go back indoors after a while. The cats came and went and I know Apollo enjoys the outdoor time, Callie less so but she did spend some time on the deck. As the deck is outside on the first floor they are both safe from the true outdoors!
I went to lie down for a bit and must have slept for over an hour, must be getting old, lol!!
Tea was yummy, ground beef mixed with soup and onion, cooked and then placed in a casserole dish, topped with Red Lobster Biscuit and baked!!!
We had one game of cribbage and as Shalon was tired, she went home so it was time to farewell Apollo and Callie. Callie moaned loudly from the second she was put in the carrier, lol, Apollo said nothing!
The last night on this trip, tomorrow I travel to a hotel near Dulles and on Wednesday I start the long journey home to my dear Seb, I hope he is OK!!
