I woke up about 6 am after nearly 8 hours sleep! The sun was shining and it promised to be another very warm day.
I decided to go and try Sawyers for breakfast as they have crepes on the menu and I enjoy them once in a while. My server was a young guy called Brandon, so my first challenge was a cup of hot water with a tea bag and some milk on the side. That was fine and then I had another challenge for him, lol! I did not want cheese in my crepe so that was replaced with some banana and I asked for no icing sugar to be sprinkled on it.
This huge plate arrived with the banana but it had the icing sugar. I was not going to say anything so started in but Brandon came back and noticed so offered me another one. I said "No" but he insisted, lol! It was absolutely delicious but I was very full
We were off to a Flea Market some way past Sevierville. It was fairly busy when we arrived and it was huge. There was such a variety of goods, most of it well priced and dome better than others. I bought a couple of T-Shirts and a book, the latter for $1!
After about an hour and a half walking round we drove to the Apple Barn and had a fried apple pie and homemade ice cream, it was delicious! I then went to the store and purchased a couple of items as gifts I also bought Terri some Apple Pickles.
The others went down to explore the river and I wandered round and took a few photos. When they returned, Aiden was soaking wet, he had fallen in!!!
We returned to the hotel so Aiden could get some dry clothes, then we went off in search of a Nike outlet for shoes. We were passing a Starbucks, so I was able to enjoy a nice coffee, thanks to the car driver, lol! No shoes were purchased so we headed so Chris could find a souvenir T-Shirt. The first place did not have one in his size but the second place did. By this time the traffic was beginning to pile up as it does in the evenings.
There are so many people here and there are the drivers showing off their vehicles and then there are the gawkers, people who are slowly driving long looking at all the cars parked along the Parkway, lol!! There are all sorts of strange conveyances, from scooters to things that look like motorised chilly bins, lol!! Even some of the cars look strange!!
We ended up at 'No Way, Jose' for tea and, for the second time today I had to return a meal. i ordered the wings and the traditional sauce, I could not eat them they were just too hot for me. Our kind server offered to bring the menu back but I asked if I could have plain wings, no sauce!! Oh, they were so much nicer and I enjoyed them, they were hot but only from cooking, lol!! I felt bad about it but am impressed by the willingness of people to make sure you have a good experience!
We returned to the hotel and I stayed back to write my blog and read, I am nearly one third of the way through my book already!!! The others went off to the Go Carts!!! It was another very warm day with the temperature rising to 99 F!!!
