Wednesday August 12 to Saturday August 15 (Okemos and TCP)
Wednesday

After my late arrival last night, I had a quiet day today. I wrote up my blog for Tuesday ad sorted through the photos to post. I had company while writing the blog, the beautiful, one and only, Fluffy!!
Thursday

This morning I walked to Starbucks and back, it is just over a two and a half mile walk with a break for coffee, lol!!

That is the closest coffee shop to where I am staying although there are quite a few Biggby shops around. It was well into the afternoon by the time I arrived back home.
The mother deer and her two babies came to visit this afternoon and they seem very unafraid of people. The mother has a bad leg and has been visiting for three years.
I got some pictures and also took some of the other upstairs cat, Lucky. He is a beautiful black cat with glossy fur about 13 years old whereas Fluffy is only 2 years old. He likes to get into my bedroom to try and knock the artificial flowers down so I often find him waiting outside my door. Woe betide me if I leave the door open at all.
Friday

Today I went to TCP, Michgan to spend time with the cats. I was there for about five hours altogether and visited every room spending time with the various cats.

I do not know too many names but I enjoyed spending time with the all. Some are quite shy while others really enjoy being petted. I remember Kate and Bones in particular from my last visit but there are so many gorgeous and loving cats.

There are three kittens, a brother and sister that are together and a black kitty that is upstairs in a room in the Garage. All three of them are a bit shy but only need the attention to become loving and lovable companions. All three of them are very gentle when held. Th two tigers spend tie in a cage but when someone is there they are allowed to run free in the room. They certainly enjoy that and love playing with some of the toys.

The other kitten, a black beauty named Juniper, is in a room with four older kittens.

He spent much of his time hiding under a chair but when I managed to pick him up he loved being held like a baby and being petted. He is also very gentle and once he has had plenty of socialisation will also make a great companion.

It is so hard to leave as the cats really appreciate being loved and they really need lots of attention. I am sure some of the shier ones would also come round with the right sort of attention. It does take time and patience though.

I was fairly tired and hungry when I eventually got home but it was a very good day. I posted a lot of pictures on the TCP FB page as I knew names would be added!
Saturday

It was good to wake up today and here the news that the All Blacks (NZ) had beaten the Wallabies (Aust) in the rugby test overnight. Last week it was a different story and there was a bit of doom and gloom around, lol!!

I returned to TCP today with a secret mission and then spent time with the cats again. In particular, I spent quite a bit with Juniper and he is certainly coming round.

He still hides under the chair but after some coaxing and petting he will now come out by himself for the cuddles. I placed a small bed beside the chair against the wall and he now associates that with good times. His confidence is growing and I hope I can visit at least one more time to work with him.

The two kittens in the other room had time out of their cages again and they are also improving in confidence. They would appreciate some attention as well and will soon be running to be petted.
Went shopping this afternoon for some things for TCP and I also picked up a few items for myself. In a Meijer store, I had a Biggby coffee and it was OK, not quite as hot as I like it but not too bad at all.
Then it was home to dinner, Rick's pulled pork, and catching up on the blog!
