Today I set up a new computer and had a variety of things to work out. Then it was a lazy day for the rest of Sunday. I watched some of the latest PGA Major from Whistling Straits and what a golf course it is. I decided that if a New Zealander could not win then I could accept the win by an Aussie, lol!!
Monday
This morning dawned sunny and warm again! We set a trap to catch a feral cat that Barbara has been feeding since fall last year. Apparently, he walked into the trap before I even left, lol!
Today, I went back to the TCP to spend time with the cats. The whole area is very pretty, some lovely houses and lots of trees so it is a pleasant drive out there. I have been grateful to Michele, Jo and Jessica for picking me up and taking me out there.
Although some of the cats are very shy there are so many that demand to be petted and they are so very responsive. The two kittens are certainly improving their relationships with people and the male was very responsive today and purred his heart out when I picked him up. The female is the shyer of the two.
I visited KC, the Feline Leukemia kitty, twice and he so loves the attention, he is such a lovebug! I then spent some time upstairs in the garage with Juniper and his confidence is growing rapidly. He was on my lap, purring his head off and I decided to try and take his picture. Well, he did not take to having a selfie very much at all, lol!! He seemed almost scared of his reflection but I did get some photos and he did settle down. He is much more confident at being out in the room with someone there.
While I was petting Juniper, Monkey came out from her hiding place. She spent ten minutes circling and gradually getting closer so I got up from the chair and she let me pet her for quite a while.
When I returned to base, I grabbed a quick lunch and then we headed to the vet with the feral cat who is to be called Semi. He really was not too bad and was very quiet on the trip over. At the vets he was quiet and did not look too scared. He has already been neutered but has found to be FIV+, such a shame, he will however find a place at TCP. He will stay at the vets in the meantime.
There is a Panera across the way from the Vet Hospital so it was coffee and chai tea time for us!!
Back at base again and it was time to write the blog. Later, clothes washing and drying was on the menu!! Tomorrow is my last day here and then I start the long journey home!
