Ivy continues to love attention and still cries to be picked up, lol! She should not be at the SPCA very long, I am sure her personality will shine through.
I sure have loved all of them and it has been wonderful to have this extra time with these two due to Ivy being so far behind, weight-wise. I think the extra time has helped Cindy-Lou but she may still need some extra loving at the SPCA. The last weigh in took place today!
Cindy-Lou's body has lengthened quite markedly and Ivy's whiskers are almost meeting underneath her chin, so cute!
Wednesday's weights compared to arrival weight: Ivy (1170 +960), Cindy-Lou (1510, +1240)
The final day dawned and I did not get the time I wanted with them. I was asked to do three hours relief teaching at my old school.
I was up early and Cindy-Lou was so funny, she sat by the shower door waiting for the water to come down!

I left the door to the passageway open so they could enjoy their last morning.
When I got home I spent twenty minutes with them and they had a great time chasing the red dot (the laser). They both were jumping high when I aimed it at the wall and both of them galloped madly up and down the passageway chasing it.
I then packed them in the crate and we left for the SPCA. They were quite good on the way, not too much crying.
They had to wait to be micro chipped and have a collar put on. I went to see Chrissy and she is much more relaxed, still does not like other cats much. As soon as I went in and spoke she came out of her spot straight away and we had lots of loving.
It is so wonderful that they obviously remember us!
I then went into the kitten room and they must have had a busy morning as everyone was sleeping. I found Frosty in the front part of the area and he let me make a fuss of him. I went through to the small outside area that is fenced in and found Magda and Naza out there in a bed with some other kittens.
I was shocked at Magda's appearance. As soon as I spoke she lifted her head and her eyes were caked shut. I picked her up to try and open them and all I saw was a lot of pus.
She also looks as if she has lost weight. I immediately went and found one of the people and explained the situation.
Apparently they have had something go the rounds and thought they had got rid of it. I did not say anything but I am appalled that someone does not have a quick check every morning. One of Naza's eyes looked a wee bit weepy so they were both taken out to have treatment.

This made me so sad as they were in really good order when they left me. If I had been able I would have brought them home and given them their treatments myself.
By this time, Ivy and Cindy-Lou were ready and they were placed on a small chair to become acclimatised to the area. Strangely, Frosty was the first kitten to come up and see them. He sniffed them for quite a long time. After a wee while, Ivy decided to get down and it did not take her long to find the wet food, lol!!
I left soon after but will try and visit early next week to check on them.
This is the final entry in the blog about my first foster family. I loved every minute but it is so very difficult to say goodbye to them, I just hope they all get good homes.
