I woke up very early to hear Charlie and some planes but managed to fall sleep again! The washing I did last night was nice and dry as I had hoped.
After breakfast I spent twenty minutes on the exercise bike, good fun! I went out to look at the nest and managed to catch one of the adults flying in to feed them, there are definitely three youngsters!!
One of my aims was to paddle in the Indian Ocean and I had suggested a picnic somewhere beside the sea to watch the sunset. It was rather windy so we did not take a picnic with us when we went out.
After our lunch, we went out for a drive aiming for coffee at the Old Brewery.
It was rather late and in the end we decided to go through to Cottesloe where Margaret grew up. We followed the Swan river again and there were plenty of boats out racing,
We drove through the centre of Perth, past the million dollar sculpture as well as the ugly Tennis/Basketball/Event Centre and ended up at the Blue Duck, Cottesloe, just after 5 pm for our coffee.
I then ducked down to the sea for my paddle and it was pleasantly warm.
When I had finished I suggested we see of there was room for us to have tea at the Blue Duck, my shout. There was and we sat outside on the verandah, best view in the house! By this time the wind was dying down and it was very pleasant outside.
There were, as per usual, many ships waiting outside Fremantle and we also watched a container vessel leave port and head out to sea. We could see Rottnest island and the lighthouse light was visible.
As we ate our food, we watched the sun gradually fall into the sea and what made it spectacular was that one of the ships was directly in front of the sun!
The saying, "ships that pass in the night" was proven true tonight, lol! Gradually, ships began switching their lights on and eventually we had to leave for home, after another wonderful day in Perth.
Tomorrow, the temperature is meant to reach the mid 30s Celsius!!
