Well, after I posted my blog last night, I got more cat photos with Willow doign her "Give me five!" with Connie. Then, the grandson, Joel Thomas, came to visit with his parents.
He is almost three weeks old and Ganache just could not work out what he was looking at, LOL! I took lots of photos of course.
Then I took my IPad out and tried the Cat Fish game again, earlier Sizzle and Ganache watched it but could not work it out. This time, Suzi was around and it did not take her long to figure it out, typical female!!! She played for quite a while while the others watched.
Later Sizzle came back and decided he could play it!
This morning I had another lazy start and after a visit to the bathroom I found Willow on the window sill in my bedroom. I was not sure what to do so kept my distance and made my bed as best I could with Ganache's help. It was raining all morning with a couple of heavy showers and was very cool.
Later, I was given a demonstration by Sizzle on how to destroy a toilet roll in quick order. He would, I am sure, give Tabitha a run for her money!
This afternoon, Joe took me on a drive to the place where Connie spent her early years, Elba. It is within the Whitewater River State Park and we looped the loop to get there. We stopped at the Park Headquarters to look around and it was very interesting.
There are a variety of birds and animals, including a beautiful wolf that was shot by mistake in 2007. There was also a live Fox snake in a glass cage. I collected a free map, outdated but it certainly has some useful information. Joe also collected a free calendar for me.
We then drove to Elba and saw the high Fire Tower that overlooks the whole area. There are steps that lead up to it and steps in the centre of the tower but we did not go up there!
We left Elba and drove the direct route home. The rolling countryside here is different from flat Ohio in that there are hills and they make it more interesting. The same crops are grown but there are also beef and dairy farms.
We came home via the Ear of Corn tower where the corn is processed. By the time we arrived home the weather had dried up and the sky was a lot lighter.
The cats were their usual selves tonight although Willow seems to be more and more relaxed with me around.
