Mike and Deena had arrived the night before so it was a part family reunion. Deena is busy starting to plan her wedding which will take place fall 2015 and she showed me the style of wedding dress she had decided upon. I also had a good look at her beautiful engagement ring.
The condo is very nice with three bedrooms and a loft with a very comfortable sofa. The large sofa in the lounge also converts into a queen size bed but I chose the loft and was short enough to fit on it comfortably. There is an outside patio with a lovely view over the marina.
After lunch, we were due to go on a boat ride but it was a bit rough so Mike, Deena and myself went on the jet ski.
Once we were out of the harbour we met the waves and it was certainly a wee bit rough. It was great fun as we flew across the waves. However, we came down from one hop at a slightly off angle and I wiped out, this is apparently called quartering! The life jackets were very good and I popped up like a cork only to turn round and see that Deena had wiped out too! Mike, of course, was still seated on the jet ski, lol!
It was quite tricky to get back on board but with the aid of a step rung on the rear I finally made it. We went a bit further and then returned to the harbour, for three people on the ski it was a bit rough!
Deena and Mike went out again for another ride while I tried to drip dry outside their garage. Finally, I had a hot shower and felt much better.
We went to visit another neighbour who collects antiques and other items, his house was crowded but the Humpty Dumpty from Macy's (1959) was the highlight.
We girls then went for a ride round the community in the modified golf cart and I drove! It is very easy once you get used to the simple controls, the strangest thing was not hearing a sound when the engine was switched on! I managed not to spill anyone off or turn the cart over and I stayed on the right!
The next door neighbours came out with their 12 year old dog, an Australian Shepherd dog called Dingo! He is a beautiful colour but is showing his age. We then had superb hamburgers for tea. Lisa had bought her brother a hamburger maker and showed him how to make them, they must have been an inch and a half high, quite the largest I have ever eaten or even seen. They were very good, and stuffed with bacon and blue or cheddar cheese.
Some of the neighbours had joined us for dinner and we sat around afterwards enjoying good company and the occasional liquid refreshment! I was not too late to bed either!
