Thursday May 9 - Sunday May 12 (Boynton Beach)

Thursday
It was another warm day mostly sunny and we did not have a thunderstorm!

Today, I worked on Jackie's new laptop and it is almost ready to go, I just need to sort out MS Office for her.

Friday
It was warm and mostly sunny again.

As I was eating breakfast I watched these three people, two on a jet ski and one eventually standing up on a board and he was yelling out instructions to the drivers, lol! This went on for some time and he certainly had a good ride!

The policeboat was around again today but it as unclear if the other boat was being investigated! I spent half an hour sitting on the boardwalk outside this afternoon.

I washed my clothes and towels today and completed setting up the new laptop. Later on, I cooked my omelette for us for tea, it is so easy and very tasty..

Saturday
I ate my breakfast in the patio again after I started my sheets washing, it was a lovely warm day again. The sheets have to be washed separately as they will get tangled up! Once my nightgear was in the drier i sat out on the boardwalk again for a while, it was very breezy, lol!

Jackie ordered from Cracker Barrel for tea and I had the French Dip again, yum!!!

Sunday
After another lazy morning and, as it was a gorgeous day, we went out for a drive across the other side of the IntraCoastal and ended up at West Pam Springs.

We went down a side road that took us to the back of the house that we see on the corner across the water. There was also a good deal of construction going on here and further north.

We stopped for a short while at Lantana Beach and I took a couple of photos. Then we passed a large number of condos, some with sea views and others with Intracoastal views.

Obviously the people on the side away from the views would not have to pay as much, they would still be expensive!

There are so many lovely houses as well as mansions along the way, both at Ocen Ridge and then towards West Palm.

Many, on the sea side, have the tunnel that leads under the road and out onto the beach. We saw many large houses that had very high hedges, they obviously value their privacy, lol!

After passing a certain person's large house, we stopped at West Palm Beach where I took more photos of the Florida Straits, aka Atlantic Ocean, and also saw the very high class and exclusive Worth Avenue.

I remember this from a couple of years ago, there is a Starbucks but it is well buried in with other stores and there is no signage to indicate its presence, lol!

We headed home and Jackie decided to head inland to I95 which would bring us out closer to Walmarts for a wee bit of shopping.

We had to wait at the bridge on Southern Boulevard as a boat needed to pass underneath. The bridge is very unusual as it is a bridge that lifts up based on the same principle as an elevator.

We had to wait about ten minutes so I was able to take a photo of that house!

I looked this bridge up later and apparently it is a temporary bridge while the old one is replaced. the new permanent bridge will be a drawbridge. Hmm, pity as this type looked really well designed.

We did our shopping but I had to pop into Publix for a couple of items and then it was to Starbucks for a coffee on the way home! It was a lovely afternoon drive!
