After a good night's sleep, I woke to another cloudy and misty day. I had a long chat with Terri on Messenger and then spent the rest of the day working on my blog. There was so much to remember from yesterday. I finally finished writing it and then came the sometimes arduous task of inserting the photos, and there were a lot of them, lol.
In mid afternoon, Cheryl had gone over the bring Shalon's two Siamese cats across. They are truly gorgeous and I took some photos, Apollo is 16 and Callie is 4, she has the wedge shaped face, narrower than Apollo.
I went to bed early again as I have been doing the past couple of weeks.
Friday
I again had a good night's sleep and we had omelettes for brunch cooked by myself. Dan and Cheryl seemed to enjoy them so I am pleased I was able to cook at least once.
I then had to sit down and sort out an issue with my email, this took a good couple of hours and I still have much to do, lol! At last the sun came out so I went for a short walk to the main road interaction and back. It is so nice to feel the sun on my back after all the wet and cloudy days.
Cheryl went over to collect Apollo and Callie again in mid afternoon. Dan's sister Laura and her husband called in, they are visiting from South Carolina, and all had a good chat.
We had a lovely chicken dinner with the creamy chicken served over wheat spaghetti.
We played Cribbage this evening, a lot of fun! We had our dessert, cherry pie, in the intermission, lol.
Saturday
A mostly chill out day today! There was some rain and cloud in the morning, it was quite cool and breezy. Shalon came over for lunch but did not bring the cats as Apollo had been sick this morning.
After a lunch of egg salad sandwiches it had dried up somewhat and the breeze had dropped so I went over for a quick visit with the cats, Apollo is very much better which is good news. I then went out for a walk. Later, the cloud cleared away and the sun came out. The wind also started up again and it was very blustery.
Sunday
I was woken early by an unusual sight, the sun streaming through the bedroom window, lol! I went back to sleep and when I woke again some clouds had appeared. The wind was blowing strongly again and it was quite cool, inside! We had a brunch of Hash Brown Quiche, it was scrumptious!!

The farm is incredible, it covers roughly 2,000 acres and is run by three generations of the Orr family. They grow a variety of berries, being huge on strawberries and also have about 1,000 acres of orchards including apples, peaches etc. They also stock a large variety of flowers including hanging baskets. As we entered we saw four Llama as well as a small herd of Bison with quite a few young ones.
There is a wonderful country store which is stocked with a huge array of local produce and includes a bakery. I purchased half a deep dish Cherry Pie, yum!!!
I made a cup of tea and took it to my bedroom to lie down for a wee while. Unexpectedly, I fell asleep, lol!
We had a lovely tea, steak and baked potato, the steak was beautiful. We then played three rounds of cribbage before dessert which was strawberry shortcake and ice cream!!
Then it was time to pack for our trip to Williamsburg before heading to bed!
