Sunday May 8 (Ayden - last day!)

We were on the road early today as we were meeting Sonya, Chris and Aiden for breakfast at the Seahorse restaurant in Greenville.

We met the family at the Seahorse Restaurant just after 9 am. We had a lovely breakfast, very reasonably priced, I went for the French toast without the cinnamon and sugar but with bacon and some syrup to dip in! It was delicious and I was even able to get a tea bag, some boiling water and milk to make a proper cup of tea.

Aiden has such a lovely smile and he was a hoot, he put away a good serving of grapes along with some grits and pancake. after breakfast it was time for some photos outside the restaurant and then we made our farewells.

We stopped in Winterville so I could get a Starbucks coffee. Then it was home via a visit to Jack, the donkey, as well as the neighbours down the road. I did my packing while Steve cut the lawns and Terri some washing.

Then we went out to get strawberries, they had none boxed up it was only Pick Your Own! So we continued on to the Simply Icecream place, guess what, they were closed for Mothers Day!! So it was on to the Piggly Wiggly store in Ayden and shopping for the necessary items needed for hamburgers for tea.

I wrote and published my blog for Saturday then made some egg salad, enough for Steve and Terri for lunch tomorrow and sandwiches for me on the train tomorrow. I had a video call with Lisa and, later, caught up with my Perth friends via Skype. I finished my packing and zipped my luggage to squash things down a bit!

The hamburgers for tea were delicious and I had two Strawberry Daiquiris to go with them! This is a new drink I have adopted since being in NC, lol! Terri had put up the feeders a couple of days earlier and I s
aw my first Humming Bird feeding live! They really are tiny!!
