Thursday April 21/Friday April 22 (Okemos)

Thursday
Again I only had about five hours sleep, I sure hope I get a good night soon or I will not be able to function, lol!! Rick drove me to the local Walmart this morning to collect some supplies. 

On the way back, I went to the local USPS to send a package off and it took much longer than it should have. My Air NZ Master Card has Debit Card written on it but it also acts like a Credit Card. 

I explained this but she still chose to put it through as a Debit Card. This meant I had to sign my card, which I have been using for nearly year unsigned, lol!! 

Of course, it was not accepted, so she had to put it through again as a Credit Card, lol, this time it worked!! I did offer to pay with cash but only had a $100 bill and she could not change that for me!!!


We then called in at Panera where I bought my usual Latte plus some comfort food for Barbara and myself. By this time the rain had turned from a persistent drizzle to a fairly heavy downpour.

Back at base, I spent the afternoon writing my blog and keeping an eye on the wildlife outside. 

I took some photos of various birds as well as chipmunks, in the evening the white skunk called in (outside, lol), I remember that from last year. I also took some photos of Fluffy, one of the two family cats. At the same time I was backing up and then upgrading Barbara's old Apple MacBook with the new OS for it. This took a long time but we got there in the end and Barbara was able to do her banking again!!

I contacted my next two hosts as I had to do some re-arranging and all is well with that. tomorrow I will contact Amtrak to change some of my trips!

I then mucked around for quite a while trying to download pictures from my Sony camera (with WiFi) to my laptop, it did not seem to be working but I later discovered it had worked, very odd!!! I need to play with this again to work out exactly how it worked, lo!!

By this time I was, feeling very tired so bed beckoned and off I went!

Friday
I woke after only four hours sleep again and, just when I was thinking I might as well get up, I fell asleep and woke up at 11.45 am!! I really hope I can get this sleep pattern sorted, soon!

It was a quiet day today, the weather was a bit gloomy although not too cold. I pottered around and spent some time on a few tasks that I had to do. I did introduce Fluffy to the Cat Fishing game on my IPad and she was fascinated. I will try and have my camera beside me the next time I turn it on. I did get a couple of photos of her on the back of the sofa. Barbara and I watched Skyfall over the course of the evening, I had seen it before but I usually enjoy watching films again. I did nod off a couple of times, lol!

Then it was off to bed in the hopes of a normal night of sleep!
