Friday September 5 (Defiance and base)

I managed three hours sleep when I got home from the Doughbox, I woke to a hot sunny day with lots of blue sky. We left for FFRC as Lisa had some cakes to drop off for Catstock and then went for lunch at Cabin Fever with a few chatter friends. We had a very pleasant lunch and it was good to catch up with people.

We then went to Walmart where I managed to find a pair of jeans of the make I like. I had previously searched several Walmart stores with no success!! Finally!!

We arrived back home and I just had time to change before we headed off down the road to Karleen and Lori's place where they had friends round for their version of Cocktail Hour!!

It took place in their garage and was a fun couple of hours with lots of laughs. A group of people who work hard and enjoy letting off steam on a Friday afternoon/evening together. Many of them also work together.

I also managed a few minutes inside with Sammy as well as Aggie their other beautiful cat.

We could see the clouds approaching so it was time to go home. On the way we saw the pony in his paddock, he came over when I called to him!!

About twenty minutes later the storm started. To begin with we were on the edge of it with the bulk of the storm to the north. However, as it progressed it moved to the south, there was quite a bit of thunder and lightening as well as fairly heavy rain. Lets hope the air is a bit clearer tomorrow!
